We are a friendly group of parents, grandparents, carers and teachers who meet about every 6 weeks to arrange fundraising events for the school. All parents of children who attend the school are automatically members. The Committee is a non profit-making registered charity providing an opportunity for friends of our school to play an active role in supporting the school, staff and governors.

We have recently changed our name from The PTA (Parents, Teachers Association) to Friends of Kents Hill Junior School so that anyone connected to our school or in the community is welcome, to help us raise money and have fun.

Our recent events have been discos, a Christmas challenge, non-uniform days, magic nights, inflatable day, mad hair day and of course the annual school summer fete.

With the money we have raised this year (2007), we have been able to buy the following for the school  – chairs and tables for the school library, basketball posts, books for each year group, CD player/recorders, year 6 leavers dictionary’s, crackers for the Christmas dinner, refurbishment of the swimming pool, Queen’s 80^th Birthday coins, curriculum activities for year groups and the garden at the back of the school has been completely re-designed.
