50 Things to Do Before I Leave KHJS

At Kents Hill Junior School, we believe childhood should be rich in curiosity, challenge, and memorable experiences. Our “50 Things to Do Before You Leave KHJS!” programme is designed to support pupils’ personal development by providing a wide range of opportunities they may not otherwise experience beyond school. It encourages children to try new activities, develop practical skills, and grow in confidence within a fun and supportive environment.

The programme thoughtfully combines academic links with wider life experiences. Pupils engage in activities such as writing a letter or editing a photograph, alongside memorable experiences like watching a sunset, building a campfire, or taking a journey on a train. From creative projects and adventurous challenges to community and cultural experiences, each activity is intended to broaden horizons and inspire curiosity.

Every completed experience contributes to pupils’ personal growth, helping to develop resilience, independence, and a strong sense of achievement. By the time they leave Kents Hill Junior School, pupils will have built a rich bank of experiences that not only enhance their learning but also create lasting memories and help shape them into confident, well-rounded individuals.
