Enrichment Opportunities

At Kents Hill Junior School, we provide a wide range of enrichment opportunities designed to enhance pupils’ personal development and equip them with essential life skills. These experiences extend learning beyond the classroom and help pupils to apply their knowledge in meaningful, real-life contexts. Pupils take part in road safety walks to develop practical awareness of their local environment and attend online safety workshops delivered by external specialists, 2 Johns (former police officers), to deepen their understanding of how to stay safe in the digital world. Our Roots to Food cooking workshops led by a professional chef give pupils hands-on experience in preparing food while learning about nutrition and healthy lifestyles. We also celebrate pupils’ creativity through initiatives such as our school art gallery, which showcases their artistic achievements. In addition, Year 6 pupils benefit from anti-social behaviour workshops led by Essex Police, helping them to understand consequences, make responsible choices, and prepare for the transition to secondary school. Together, these opportunities enrich pupils’ experiences, broaden their perspectives, and support them in becoming confident, well-rounded individuals.
