This week in year 4 we have started our independent write! This time we are writing to entertain - writing a diary entry from Tashis perspective, based on the story of Cloud Tea Monkeys. This week we have writing the first few paragraphs the focus on Tashi waking up, seeing her mother is ill and going down to the tea-plantation to take her place at work. We have been working hard to include the important features of a diary entry including, first person, past tense, chronological order. We have also been trying to include coordinating connections and time connectives in our writing to uplevel it.

In DT this week we collated all of our DT work this term into a double page spread. We ensured we evidenced the whole DT process in our page including the design process, audience and purpose of making our Indian curry. We made sure we set it out neatly and took pride in our work.

We were very excited that some year 4 classes started their swimming sessions this week! We went over front crawl and did a floating game!
