Week beginning: 15.11.2021
This week in year 5 we have been having a lot of fun with screen printing. We have been learning about the artist Banksy and have been discussing whether we think Banksy is a vandal or whether there is nothing wrong with what he is doing.
As part of Anti-bullying week, we created our own anti-bullying signs and symbols and have used the silk screen printing technique using our own stencils to create our own works of art, much like Banksy would before creating his using spray paint.
As well as this, we have been learning about prime and square numbers in maths and solving reasoning problems around these.
We also looked at the book Wonder by R.J. Palacio and took part in anti-bullying activities using this as a way of understanding the implications of bullying.
