In maths we have been continuing to solve problems and calculations involving fractions, this week we have been subtracting fractions, subtracting mixed numbers, subtracting mixed numbers that break the whole and subtracting and subtracting two mixed numbers.

We have begun our new writing focus this week which is writing to inform! We have been conducting research about the planet Mars to support our writing as it is based on us 'crash landing' on Mars. We will be using this information to help us to write a radio transmission report next week!

On Monday, we took part in Mars Day! We were lucky enough to listen to influential space professionals (including Tim Peake!) when they were discussing the planet Mars and the explorations that have occurred over time.
