This week in year 5 we have been continuing with our class story, Holes. As part of this we have planned and written our own version of a chapter in which one of the characters becomes trapped with the infamous and poisonous yellow spotted lizard.

In our narratives, we have used personification and hyperbole to give a dramatic and descriptive style to our writing.

In science, our investigation with materials and states of matter led us to investigating dissolving.

We used different variables and observed if they had an effect on the rate of dissolving sugar.

In music, we have been learning more about Motown music.
