This week in year 4 we have been looking at more Christian parables. First, we made predications about what the parable would be about and then we heard the parable of The Prodigal Son. We thought about what the moral of the story was and what teaching Jesus was trying to give to his followers. We then retold the story by acting it out in small groups.

This week in writing we have been introduced to some Indian poetry. We looked at Haikus and wrote our own Haiku poems about India. First, we learnt some of the key rules: they have 3 lines and 17 syllables and they don't usually rhyme.

This week we also got to use Scratch again in computing. We love using Scratch so we were all very excited! This week we focused on reading and modifying coding on a helicopter game on Scratch. We looked at continuous codes and how to make them loop endlessly. Next week we will be moving onto planning and creating our own codes for a new game.
