We have been continuing to further our skills when working with fractions in maths by practising adding fractions, adding mixed numbers, subtracting fractions and subtracting mixed numbers. 

We have all been working extremely hard to write independently this week by ensuring to use our sentence stacking work to support us. We have been including all the features that we worked on previously, such as time adverbials, colon for a list, contrasting conjunctions, quotes, formal language, relative clause, modal verbs, brackets, rhetorical questions and alliteration. We may have even included features that we have practised using before that weren't a focus for this piece of writing!

We have been completing our Peter Thorpe inspired artwork this week, making sure to use colours and shapes that would give the abstract-realism style that we have been working on!

We were lucky enough to take part in a virtual science workshop this week! Throughout the workshop we learnt about the solar system and discussed the effects of global warming and how we can work together to prevent our planet from being destroyed.
