Week beginning: 13.06.2022
This week in Year 5, we have continued our learning of angles and being able to measure them accurately with a protractor. We drew our own angles using a protractor and made sure to see whether it was an acute angle, right angle, obtuse angle, or reflex angle.
We have continued writing our fantastic persuasive holiday brochures to visit a country in Africa and have worked extremely hard to include the required features. We used our research skills to collect information on a variety of animals, including the number of gestation days, life span in years and number of offspring per pregnancy. We then presented our information in a table and a graph.
As part of our previous science topic, we looked at the life cycle of a butterfly and we have been watching our own caterpillars transform into butterflies! This week, all our butterflies have emerged and we have loved watching them grow. Next week, they will be ready to be set free into the wild!
