Week beginning: 13.12.2021
This week in Year 4 we have had the most wonderful time doing lots of fantastic Christmas activities! We've had so much festive fun and it has been a fabulous way to end the term!
This week we took part in a Christingle service! We all made out own Christingles and learnt what each part represented. As a class, we then sang lots of songs and found out how and why people go to Christingle services.
We also got to finish off our Christmas baking this week! We all decorated our gingerbread and made them look too good to eat! We used various colours of icing sugar, chocolate chips and smarties to decorate our creations. They look amazing!
We also finished off our Christmas decorations. We made sure t paint our Christmas tree ornament in bright colours and we glazed the salt-dough using PVA glue to give it a lovely, shiny finish!
On Thursday we got a very special Christmas surprise! Santas reindeer came to visit Kents Hill Junior School! We got to hear lots of interesting facts and ask lots of questions about the reindeer. We were so lucky to all get our photos taken with them! We all made our own Chirstmassy photo frame for our reindeer picture to be displayed in.
What an amazing week it has been! Miss Roberts, Miss Jackson, Miss Clarke and Mrs Marable are so pleased with how fantastic the children have been during our first full term in Year 4! We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and we're looking forward to seeing you all in January!
