This week in Year 5, we have been looking at African music. We have learnt about call and response as well as rhythms we can play on djembes.

In geography we have been using atlases to locate countries and key locations in Africa and transferring these accurately onto our own maps.

As well as this, we have continued our learning of initiation ceremonies in R.E. with a focus on Islam this week.

Shape has been our topic in maths and we have been exploring 2D and 3D shapes, ensuring we know the key features of each shape.

We have also had our RSE week, when we learned about how our bodies change over time and how this will affect us.
