Week beginning: 22.11.2021
In year 5 this week we have been continuing with our topic of Crime and Punishment. We have been learning about modern day punishment, focusing on capital punishment and debating whether it should or should not be legal.
In geography, we have been researching and using maps to locate prisons and punishment sites in London, including the Tower of London and the Executioner’s Dock.
In writing, we have been reading The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes. We have been writing our own sentences using his work as an example and using drama as a way to explore the character.
As well as this, we have begun learning about Hinduism and discussed what we know and what we would like to know more about.
