Week beginning: 06.12.2021
This week in Year 4 we have been able to do so many fun Christmas themed activities! It's been amazing!
We got to make salt-dough decorations! In groups we created our salt-dough mixture by combining flour, salt and water. Once we rolled it out, we cut out Christmas tree shapes. We had to leave them to dry and eventually we got to paint and decorate them. They all look fantastic!
We also got to do some Christmas baking this week! It was so fun! We had to make sure we were listening carefully to all the instructions to make sure we made perfect gingerbread! We combined lots of ingredients together, rolled out the cookie mixture and cut out gingerbread men shapes. Next week we get to decorate them and make the look too good to eat!
This week we also made Christmas cards! We used buttons to decorate the front of the cards to look like baubles hanging down. We made sure to keep our cards neat and eye-catching and we all wrote lovely messages addressed to our loved ones.
In PSHE this week we finished up our learning on the 'Celebrating Differences' topic. We did our end of unit reflection on the topic, we thought about everything we had learnt throughout the half term. We discussed what we had learnt about making assumptions, bullying and why valuing our uniqueness is important.
