Week beginning: 09.05.2022
This week in Year 4 we finished our diary entry writing based on our class book Cloud Tea Monkeys. This week we wrote the final few paragraphs and focused on ensuring we included expanded noun phrases in our work. We made sure when we went through and edited our work, we thought about our vocabulary choices and used thesauruses to uplevel our work.
In maths this week we moved onto a new topic of angles. First, as an introduction to the topic, we went on an angle hunt around the classroom to find acute, obtuse and right angles. Then we recapped the different directions, North, South, East and West and the difference of clockwise and anti-clockwise.
In geography this week we looked at the similarities and differences we could find between India and United Kingdom. We researched both countries hemispheres, climate, famous rivers and mountains. We presented our work neatly into our learning journals and worked hard to make sure we took particularly pride in this piece.
This week we have started our French double page spread on our new topic En Classe. We thought about the new stationary vocabulary we learnt this week and presented it onto our double parge spread by drawing the pictures and writing the French and English translation.
