Week beginning: 07.02.2022
This week in Year 4 we have been writing about Mount Everest! We used our learning from our water cycle sentence stacking lessons to help guide us with our independent write this week. We wrote a detailed and informative guided tour of Mt Everest. We worked hard to include all the features we looked at last week. Including, alliteration, parathesis, power of three and onomatopoeia. Lots of us worked really hard to ensure our independent write was as detailed and descriptive as possible!
In maths this week we started our new topic, fractions! We learnt how to find the fraction of shapes, how to find equivalent fractions and how to find fractions greater than 1. We have worked hard to learn these new skills and gain a secure understanding of finding variety of different fractions.
In PSHE this week we completed our end of unit reflection on our topic 'dreams and goals'. We thought hard about everything we had learnt this half term and thought out the lessons we had learnt and advice which we will follow in future.
In RE this week, we completed our learning on Humanism. This week we learnt about what the Humanist symbol was. We then created our own symbol based on all the Humanist beliefs we have learnt about. We also learnt about what the British Humanist Association was and how it influences Humanist.
